St. Jude has developed protocols that have helped push overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to 80 percent today.

About The Dick Hiley St. Jude Bass Classic
The 14th Annual Dick Hiley St. Jude Bass Classic in beautiful Wabasha, MN has raised over $1 million to date for the kids of St. Jude.
Activities include:
- Two day fishing tournament: All day Saturday (5/5) and Sunday (5/6)
- Weigh ins both days: public weigh ins day 1 and 2 with awards ceremony following day 2
- Dinner banquet: held evening of day 1 and includes plated dinner, St. Jude patient speaker, live and
silent auction.

Ways to fundraise
We want to make your fundraising as easy as possible and that’s why we’ve set up a few different options. Asking your friends and family to help in your efforts is vital, whether you’re utilizing the online tool, sending letters, or hosting a benefit.

ONLINE: Attached you’ll find a tutorial in setting up your online fundraising page, here you’ll be able to send emails to friends and family asking for their donation. Money goes directly to St. Jude so you’ll never have to worry about dealing with collecting donations. See Tutorial

LETTERS: Attached you’ll also find a sample fundraising letter that you can mail to friends and family informing them of your involvement in the tournament and asking for their donation. They’ll return the letter, along with their donation, to the St. Jude office in Edina, MN. In this option you also won’t need to worry about handling donations. See Sample Letter

HOSTNG A BENEFIT: Some anglers have chosen to host a banquet or benefit in their hometown to solicit donations. These events can be a lot of work, but can also raise a substantial amount of money.
