In addition to the usual ways to fundraise, we have added a new exciting way to target more of your family, friends, co-workers, etc. This year you have the opportunity to create your own fundraising web page that allows you to send out emails to potential donors and allows them to donate on your behalf with a simple click of a button. It is easy to do and for your convenience, we have created a tutorial which gives you a step by step instruction on getting started.
There are a lot of different ways to do fundraising but
letter writing is very effective. Most letter writers report that about 20% of
the people you contact will donate. So, the more you write, the more
successful you will be. To help we have three different stock letters you
can download.
The Sample
Fundraising Letter comes from the St Jude office and needs only the name of
the person you are writing too, and your name in the “Anglers Name” below the
dashed line. The donor fills in the information and sends it directly to St
Jude.
A way to make it easier for your contacts to donate is
to add a stamped, addressed envelope. A hundred letters will cost you $40 but
it may increase your fundraising success.
